Iron

by Rona Munro
May 27th to June 7th 2008
Arts Court Theatre

"If a man kills his girlfriend, he'll get a ten stretch. If a woman kills her kid she'll probably only serve as long as that poor little scrap ever lived, two, three years... If a woman kills her man it's life and that's an end to it..."

"Women are like dogs, doesn't matter how much they've been kicked they'll still turn towards kindness."

"Don't lose your temper with a kitchen knife in your hand..."

In this tense psychological thriller that will have you guessing until the very end, Josie is visiting her mother Fay for the first time in 15 years. She's never walked into a prison before. Fay is serving life for the murder of her husband, Josie's father.

The Good Father

Featuring Kris Joseph and Michelle Leblanc. Directed by John P Kelly

Jane meets Tim at a New Year's Even party in Dublin. Both are more than 'slightly under the weather' to put it in Dublineze. Who seduces whom? Well one of them does and the other is readily seduced. Another meeting follows, two months later... the obvious has occurred. But far, far from the obvious is to follow...

And hence a love story with more than one original twist begins.

The Good Father is both wildly comic and deeply tragic as it traces the ups and downs of Irish Tim and Jane. This is as far from classical Irish drama as one can get and the mature themes explored make it an adults only night.

SevenThirty was be the first company to use the new studio space at the marvellous Irving Greenberg venue!
